Awesome build!!! question about the Stealth box for the front. Did you still use it? I didn't read if it was installed. Did you have to change out the speaker to match the ohms of the rear or did you match the rear to the front?
Also did you use the center console with the rear cup holders? On the JL website it states it won't fit. I really don't want to lose my cup holders. I really like that inverter plate too might have to make something like that for the kids to charge their tablets on long drives.
I am also looking into those Wilson cell phone holder. That is sweet. Can you post a better picture of the install location for the antenna?
Awesome build!!! question about the Stealth box for the front. Did you still use it? Yes! My wife uses it daily. My rear sub is for me(basshead!)I didn't read if it was installed. Did you have to change out the speaker to match the ohms of the rear or did you match the rear to the front?I used the same ohms in the speaker as came from factory. I never use them both at the same time, but there is some cancellation when I tried.
Also did you use the center console with the rear cup holders? It's installed in the factory location and I have the cupholders. I don't know what you read, but it's not the case. It works just fine.On the JL website it states it won't fit. I really don't want to lose my cup holders. I really like that inverter plate too might have to make something like that for the kids to charge their tablets on long drives. In FL I need high power inverter in case I have to power my house(Hurrican poweroutages) or just power hungry equipment(four laptops) all at once.
I am also looking into those Wilson cell phone holder. That is sweet. Can you post a better picture of the install location for the antenna? I can try as soon as the truck gets out of the body shop. Rest assured...I ran the cable for the antenna...SUPER EASY!!! Until then...
I'm looking into ordering the F-650 dash with the switches and I was wondering about the paint matching (tan color). Did you take the new lower dash to the body shop and got them to color match or how did you go about getting it painted?
Riffraff will color match it for you, all you have to do is send him your cup holder pull-out, if I remember correctly.
Stewart
I sent them my pull out cover three different times and after three times and five months(literally) I gave up and brought the part and my whole truck to a body shop and viola...perfection. I wouldn't waste my time with people that don;t paint for a living...it was just a long and arduous inconvenience.
I love Riff Raff, but in this regard it just wasn't cool. Save yourself time and trouble. Buy the parts and switches from Riff Raff but have it painted locally.
I was impressed w quality of work down by Doug Gibson but the link that PEACE2PEEP for him is not working .. anyone have any info ????
thanks
So so sorry Chainsaw, it appears my friend Doug is out of the game. I am currently looking for a more than adequate replacement, but I do take my time...and will post up when I do!
While you did not say specifically, you do state your have a security system.
One would hope that PART of that system is some kind of LOWJACK type of transceiver. That way, if your truck ever does get stolen, with that you could perhaps rescue it before it could be stripped and parts sold.
LOVE THE WORK. We hope to have our 05 Ex delivered next week. Not really a LOT of mods, but I do love the wilson products stuff. Plus that power supple rocks.
Well done for sure.
Thanks for sharing. What is your next project, now that this one is done?

Yes, I have two such systems

I also have a similar system(but for it's safety I won't quite divulge)

Well done for sure.

Next project is helping teenage kids in Foster Care get trained in life skills and put them in free used cars! It's my favorite! Excellerate - Moving Young People Forward
WELL...UPDATE: Found lots of corrosion on the stereo wiring at the batteries (The warm wonderful Florida Salt Air) so back to the stereo shop and the Diesel Mechanic for all new power wires. The Stereo guys will use their house 1/0 for the stereo, and the diesel boys will be using the custom wires I got from www.custombatterycables.com Already installed a 320 amp alternator from www.mechman.com I will keep my DC Power 270 as my new backup (After sending it in for testing/repair). The off the shelf units at the parts store are a failure-promise!
