1 of my Dewalt self starting Bit's (nothing special) but i still drilled a Pilot hole first, cant remember the size but it will tell u in the directions.
I also drilled mine (drivers side) very slowly with the engine running to push the metal shavings right into your face (so wear safety glasses). Read somewhere to do that & i guess it worked well cause i did it about 2 years ago & obviously didn't get any metal shavings in my turbo.
