2001 F250 starter problems
Has anyone else had problems with starters going bad? I have replaced no less than 3 over the past couple of years and I'm pretty sure I have another one failing now... Do I have a shorting issue somewhere? Just getting bad starters? While its not too bad to replace one it is extremely frustrating...

Yep... The OEM smoked while travelling and had to be replaced on the side of the road... The rebuilt came with a lifetime warranty so its what I went with... I just replaced the CPS last week so I have been hard on the starter lately but, MAN!!! I just want to make sure I'm not putting a band-aid on a bigger/different problem... A life warranty when your stuck somewhere isn't all that comforting though...
