I had the swampers (SSR's in a 37/12.5/16) I thought they sucked, too. They were loud and rough. The Dirt grips are nice in comparison.
I'll be sad when they are gone and have to live with the swampers. I wish they'd make a 40! (or at least a 39.5" PJ).
Not sure who really makes them (denman or Interco), but they are much better than the SS, that's for sure (imho)

I will, but it won't be goin to you! Got a quote today on 37x12.5R16.5 PJ's w/ 16.5X9.75 MT II's from Desert Rat. $1,763.00. Thats what i wanna go w/. If i could fit into 38's w/ 16.5x12's i wouldn't mind it! ANy disadvantages? Wear and tear on....
I think the 38" PJ's look better w/an 8" Edge lift.
With a fabtech lift, I'd probably stick with 37" tires.
The 38/15.5's look a lot bigger than a 37/12.5

I've got customers running 12" wide wheels with 38 Swampers (TSL & STS) without any rubbing at all. The guys with PJs on 12s need to shim out their bumpers and still have a little rubbing.

Two things:
-I've heard from a few shops that the PJ's are made by Interco.
-Also, heard that PJ might be coming out with a 40/15.5R** tire (last I heard was for 16, 16.5, 18 & 20 ?? inch rims if I remember correctly).......possibly later on this year. I haven't looked into it myself just what I've heard.
Originally posted by 02superstroker Well was finally able to get some pictures posted in the ol gallery of the new lift. I got the 8" superlift, after 2.5 weeks of waiting, and installed a few weekends ago. So far so good, absolutly love the look and ride. Actually rides better than stock IMO. The 35's look great under the 8" with all the clearance. Hopefully i will get 37" SSR's by the end of the summer. Post any comments or questions, greatly appreciated...
Looks good .
37" tire is a good choice for some room for wheel travel with a 8" lift IMO.....
