I see no mention of you installing the new IH CPS. Your first post sounded like a combination of oil issues and CPS. It sounds like you've solved one issue, but the CPS is still the question.
The CPS is in the mail and should be here tomorrow, but i finally gave in and took my truck to the shop and i got codes for injectors 2 and 7. but they also told me my IDM could be going out as well (according to their computer) where should i go from here?
I found stock injectors for $160 from Swamp Diesel but what is a good price for an IDM?
How much did you pay the shop to tell you your IDM "may" be going out? Sounds like you need to invest in Auto E and do a lot of this troubleshooting yourself and get more definitive answers. I would not price injectors right now, you don't even know if you need them. It is free to pull the valve covers and look for loose connections/burnt pins on the UVCH. Wait and see what the new CPS does for you.
Ok the valve covers are off, are there any adjustments i can make while im putting my new 8 injectors in? Valve clearance (I have feeler gauges) Specs? All ideas and comments will be great!
I'm pretty sure it has to do with something on the plug that goes across the driver side valve cover. What pins should I be checking? I sprayed hill-lube in the plug and my lights came on. Cleaned it out and no lights came on.
