I was just wondering if anyone can guess who would win a quarter mile race between my 2003 5.4 V8 supercrew with intake and exhaust on 20's and a 99' standard mustang with only intake? I have a bet with my buddy and I want to see if its worth the bet???????
I'm with Ratsmoker on this one. A 200 HP engine in a 3500 lb. car will smoke a SuperCrew F-150 without breaking a sweat unless the driver is just a complete moron. After he dusts you like a coffee table....offer to hook 'em up with a chain and you can get your revenge.
Hands down I think the mustang will win. Even if the power/weight ratio is in your favor, the mustang is designed to hook up and launch, the pick-up, well it's made to hook up-------------------to a trailer..

How about a 5.4 then?
I was challenged by a guy with a 76 1/2 ton, 390, 4X4, 6" lift, mudder tires, blah blah blah. I watched him and then agreed. We hooked up bumper to bumper.
He lost.
In all fairness, the guy didn't have his set up right. I would think twice, thrice before tying onto a 390 that was strong off the line.
The funny part was the guy that was with me has a 2002 chevy 4x4 with the 5300. After watching that he wanted no part of my truck.
