So I had a bad ICP - leaking oil through it. I replaced it and it worked fine for 3 months, then started leaking at the o-ring. Replaced the o-ring and now I get a bunch of codes - P1280, P1210, and P1211. There is a little oil in the electrical plug and I not sure if that is left over from the original or new. I want to clean it out - what is the best stuff to clean the electrical connection?
But I am not sure if it is leaking through the connector or oil in the connector from the original...I guess I will clean it and watch it and if I see any more oil then replace it.....just wanted to make sure that electrical connector cleaner is acceptable for these sensors..
Did you use an OEM Ford sensor? You should only used Ford sensors, as the aftermarket has proven they dont care to make good ones.
Pull your battery cables too. The P1280 is a code that usually appears with a bad/disconnected ICP sensor. Probably just from the swap, but clear the code and see if it comes back.
