Clean a 02 Sensor?

Clean a 02 Sensor?
I got a P0133 code, saying that the Bank 1 Sensor 1 02 sensor is bad. I'm wondering... has anyone ever cleaned these things? I seem to recall a while back that someone here said to clean it (with electrical contact cleaner?) and it would be good as new, but I can't find the post. Something about it reading bad because it gets coated with exhaust crud.

I've cleaned them with electrical motor cleaner before and a tooth brush (you can buy it at any parts store). The only thing is that I'm a "tight wad" and if one is going to go to the trouble to remove these things you might as well replace it with a new one anyway since they don't cost that much.
