1949 F-3 engine grounding strap

I have a 1949 F-3 with a 239 and a 4 speed transmission. Where should a ground to the frame be located? Where does it attach to the engine/transmission? There should have been a stock location correct?

I am not sure about your specific application but I ground from engine to cab using a strap from bellhousing on engine/transmission to cab (note strap near rear of engine connected to firewall). A strap is also run from frame to negative side of battery (or positive side if its still stock). Make sure the strap contacts bare metal and not paint.
