lower ball joint leak?
good day all, i pulled my f250 into the garage today and noticed a red substance leaking from somewhere, almost looked like blood. its been raining here for a couple of days and just drove the truck for the first time in 3 days as it was sitting in the rain the whole time. (wifes car owns the garage) i saw this reddish fluid coming in the area of the lower ball joint drivers side. there was no fluid tracking from anywhere else that could have landed on this like power steering fluid. its seems kinda odd this ball joint has no grease fitting but the lower passenger side does. im guessing either a seal busted or there was just alot of rainwater sitting on there creating rust. it is not really a oily substance. it dried to almost a powder on the garage floor. Any thought?

i will have to monitor the power steering and brake fluid to see if there is a loss...nothing currently shows signs of leakage.....however last week i replaced the brake pressure switch and harness off the master cylinder that was leaking for god knows how long. i dont see how brake fluid could have dripped down to that particular area with no residue any place else but ive seen stranger things.
