I have an '88 F150 Shortbed. It has two gas tanks and the tire rack is either missing, or nonexistant. Do these trucks come with a spare tire holder under the bed, or is that forfeited by having an extra tank?
Where would be a good place to find this rack, other than the dealer?
If you're in the Denver, Co area I'll give that whole set-up. I have a 91 shortbed with dual tanks. I pulled that (*%^&%$ thing off last time I had to try to use it...at night....in the rain....on a gravel road.... Now I use one one the JC Whitney in-the-bed tire holders. I bought the cheap one that just hooks under the lip of your bed rail. I drilled a couple of 1/2" holes in the holder and the bed rail and bolted it in.
Hey Spudco...
Thanks.
I live in Massachusetts, but I would be happy to pay to ship that #@&!X*& tire rack here!
