03 Excursion just dies Int.

My Daughter has an 03 Excursion 4x4 with a V-10. 2 Times now it has just stopped. Once while parking in a lot and this am backing out her drive! Starts back up fine and runs fine but is getting annoying. No engine light or anything to lead to the cause. Anyone else with this issue? Thanks in advance for the help!!

I had a similar issue, it was intermittent at first and fianlly failed hard. Dealer found a short in the harness. In my case the engine would crank over but would not start. I'll see if i can dig up the repair sheet over the weekend and see if it listed the circuit.

Could be your idle air control valve. (IAC)
It is located behind the plastic cover that is over the intake.
You could remove it and try cleaning it, as that usually takes care of it. You could remove the plastic hose for intake and remove the butterfly valves and the IAC is mounted to that. Probably a good idea to clean all that area to at the same time.

I did mine a few years back and things ran much better.
