Hope you meant "been looking for several" MINUTES?
Try looking next to the MC, toward center of van. The computer mounts thru the fire wall. Basically only its large, bolted, umbilical plug is under the hood & the computer's guts are inserted thru firewall, inside the bowels, behind the dash.

Makes no difference why you were looking for your van's brain. It's still in same location.
Kind of surprised they even made a performance chip for the 4.2 V6?
Suggest you post a link to the item you're considering, so those with V6 experience can chime in on its maker's claims. May help you decide IF "It may be more trouble than it's worth"?
Note that it apparently isn't much trouble for the average Do It Yourselfer to install a typical performance chip.
