Front Brake Drums
Have searched the site and see that most replacement drums (Centric, Raybestos) are build with "thick" centre section that require new longer wheel studs to be pressed into place.
Did see that Duralast drums are manufactured with correct thinner centre section, allowing use of original wheel studs.
Is this correct?
If so, can anyone supply the correct part number or, alternately, the auto-parts supplier name for Duralast drums?
Thanks, Jeff

Away from home at moment so can't measure the drums, but do remember that the max inside diameter cast into the drum is 12.19, which suggests that original may have been 12 1/8 (12.125) with up to 1/16 (0.0625) available for turning to rehab them.
Also my F250 is a RWD, long box, Custom Cab, which may help with id'ing the p/n, Number Dummy.
Sorry that's all the detail I can remember.
Camper Special: I'm in Vancouver BC, where unfortunately land is so dear, bone yards crush very quickly. So unlikely to find a good set of spares even from a 70's truck.
Do you have any leads on yards in WA state, where I might source some good used units?
If I could get confirmation that Duralast is the manufacturer that supplies new drums with the "thin" centre section, I'd be able to source either here in Vancouver or could cross to WA and source in Bellingham. But I need a part number before crossing.
Hope someone can shed some light. Thanks for any input. Jeff

Doesn't help a bit.

If it's a '66 F250 Camper Special, it has 12" x 2 1/2" front/rear brakes. If it's not, it could have either as it depends on the GVW

Not listed on their 'puters, parts are too old. Tell the parts clucks to look in their paper parts catalogs, usually stashed under the counter.

Contact Don (camperspecial65), lives in Sea-Tac area, may have some users. His 1965 F250 C/S has the same size brakes.
