Door lock seals?

Door lock seals?
Are the cylinder door locks supposed to have a seal on the outer door skin? I can't tell on my '80 and my '92 donor doors don't have any. Neither did the new door locks I got from LMC.

Thanks for the info Tempest and Dorsai. It seems that the locks on a 1992 doors which I'm going to install don't use a seal. The LMC catalogue (Door Components page) shows seals on 80-9/80 locks and none for 92-10/95 which is what I bought. The new locks also have a plastic "yoke" that the rod fits into rather that the hole as shown in Tempest's picture.
