transfer case question
I tried to search the forum but my phone wont for some reason.
What is the electronic piece on the transfer case called? My 4wd hasn't worked since I got my truck. Its time to get the ol girl back in shape

Think you might be referring to the "gearmotor encoder" with drives the rotary cam switch which in turn moves the mode and range forks. Are you sure you have no vacuum leaks at the hubs and a properly operating PVH, and are you throwing any codes related to 4wd? I only ask 'cause my truck was throwing P1876- 2wd shift solenoid fault and its looking like it might be the PVH.

Huh, nothing, nada, zip. Have you checked the ESOF switch on the dash? Per the diagram I got from Tugly's link of goodness, resistance between pins 2 & 3 of switch for each mode respectively, 3.9K ohms, 1.1K ohms, 360 Ohms. Seeing as how nothings happening, lets start with the User input, the switch. I suspect that the GEM is not receiving the input.
