Need diagnostic help

Help! I have a metalic-ish banging noise in my '51 F1 that started suddenly in the front (left I think) while pulling out of a parking lot. The frequency varies with the speed and goes away or at least is not as noticable when I am on the gas. Clutching and braking don't change the noise and the performance of the truck doesn't seem to be affected in any way. Anyone have any ideas? The truck is new to me and I'm still learning my way around it. Any help would be appreciated.

Was the truck a little twisted as you left the parking lot? Real common for the radiator fan to hit the shroud under certain conditions. Fix it ASAP if that's the issue.
