Set the E-Brake with Transmission IN neutral and let truck rock to where the Parking brake holds it then shift into Park

This is how I do it cause I don't like all the Weight or force resting on the Parking Prawl itself

When the trans shifted to park and the truck rocks alittle to where the Trans Parking Prawl Holds it then they are Hard to get to release with too much pressure on it

Sometimes helps to to wiggle the steering wheel back and forth to get it to release as well

Thanks, it's kind of a new problem but I'll try it next time.

Im not saying there isn't a problem it could be hanging up

There is a Brake Switch that lets it shift when brake pedal is depressed that could go out

But if you notice it tends to get stuck when parked on a slope then its probably the pressure thing

When the truck rests its weight on the prawl theres about 4 Ton resting on it Lots of Force I guess

Just watch it and when it don't want to shift take note of Surroundings see if on a Incline/hill

We can check into the switch if the condition persists or locks up when Leval parked
