Shift interlock solenoid over ride

I do fleet maintenance on about a dozen 7.3 power strokes. We seem to be struggling with drivers running down the road with the parking brake on. I have outfitted the trucks with this buzzer that makes an awful noise when the key is on and the park brake is on. But one of our drivers found a way to ignore the buzzer for about 5 miles. So now I'm back to replacing park brakes/ burned seals/ etc etc.

Does anyone know how I could tap into the shift interlock solenoide? I'm thinking that I could make it so the shifter wouldn't come out of park until the parking brake is off. I guess what I'm asking is where is the plug for the shift solenoide? And what is its polarity. Wiring diagram?

I'm sure if I make it so the shifter locks up, the next thing that will happen is that my drivers will break the shift handle off.....

I would guess you could run the from the BPP switch tapped in through the parking brake switch, that would accomplish what you are after.

From the BPP switch, color should be the same for various years, the Red/lt green goes to the shift interlock actuator, if you spliced the parking brake switch in between that it would not see an input from the BPP switch and wouldn't unlock until the parking brake switch was made.

The only downside I see to wiring it to the shifter interlock is if your trucks are heavy or tow a lot. A hill could cause it not to come out of park if the brake is not set. By releasing the brake to move the shifter, you would put all of the load on the parking pawl and cause the same stuck shifter due to the load on the transmission park pawl. If they put it in drive before pulling the brake, it would not cause an issue. If they pulled the brake first, it could be a pain in that regards.
