Too much engine noise
In the past month, I have put a proper exhaust on my straight piped 351,
and replaced worn out MTs with some ATs. Noise has gone down a lot.
But w what I'm noticing is that, what noise I contributed to straight pipes dumped
Right below the passenger floorboard, is actually partially due to extreme
Engine noise.
Anyway....
Has anyone successfully done anything to help with this issue?
Eventually I wanna sound proof the whole cab, but for now maybe just keep
The engine noise out

I found removing the clutch fan and installing electric fan made a BIG difference in engine noise. It no longer sounds like a big fan, can hear the motor now.
I never got around to putting on a mud truck I used to have. It's actually
Meant for a 5.0 Mustang, but I'm sure it would work well.
But, I don't think that's my issue here. Nothing sounds wrong, truck runs
Fine. I'm just hearing more engine noise penetrating the cab than I care for.
Dd these trucks come with firewall insulation? I searched the web, but could only find replacement insulation for the 40s-50s trucks
