ebpv question

My fuel mileage isnt what it used to be in my truck. After doing some reading i have seen some suggestions on cleaning the ebpv sensor and tube. However, because i deleted my ebpv (valve) could this still be the issue? If so is the tube difficult to remove for cleaning?
