rv cam???
I have a 1989 F150 302 5-speed. I was thinking of buying a rebuild with a rv cam installed. Will the rv cam make much of a difference pulling a camper and will it effect the computer or pollution stuff on the truck. My old 302 is losing power and starting to blow oil out the air intake and it's getting worse.

The speed density motors do not accept new camshafts very well. It is hard to use a cam that is very much bigger than the stock one. The map sensor can't understand why the motor's vacuum pressure is jumping around more than it is supposed to and it causes the fuel mixture to lean out and then go really rich, and you'll lose alot of drivability and it won't idle very well.
