need help with dads 1971 camaro

My dad has a 1971 Camaro, he wants to get more horsepower but keep it stock chevy as it would have come in 1971.
He wants to get a 4 barrel intake from a 1971 Camaro (found one on Ebay) and get the correct 4 barrel to go with it.

So his question is will the 4 barrel intake bolt right on his original 350 in place of his stock 2 barrel intake?
His other question is will the throttle linkage on the Camaro work on the 4 barrel?

as long as he gets a stock intake from the early 70's V8 engine it will bolt rite on. you will also need a quadrajet carb.
the linkage may or may not work. it should, but you may have to make a new link. fairly easy to do, just get a piece of round stock and bend to fit.

I appreciate keeping it completely bone stock but the carburetor linkage might be difficult to find. Anything NOS will be crazy priced but places like Jeg's and Summit Racing have a huge selection of restoration-worthy parts. They have toll-free numbers as well as fairly extensive online catalogs.

Give them a try before you kill your wallet looking for nothing but original GM OEM parts!

It's a cable in 71. Not a rod. Cable should fit. You'll need a different bracket to hold the cable. The 4 bbl one bolts to the carb studs. The 2bbl one bolts to the intake.
