Disc Brake Conversion

Now before anyone says anything I know this is a subject that has been beat to death. I have the kit for the disc, just wondering what booster and dual MC everyone recommends to bolt on to this truck. 1964 f-100 Flairside. I will be having the king pins redone while I have everything apart. Thanks for the advise, and the long sighs that I know are about to come after some of you read this. Thanks.

Hey there bigtiny2020! If you were asking about 65/66 I'd say use the same type of booster/MC that was on the donor truck. But since you're talking '64 you have several aftermarket options. This one looks pretty good Classic Car and Truck Brake, Steering and Suspension Parts

I agree. I took a tour of their facility in Southern California last year. Very impressive operation!

not sure if it makes a difference but the truck frame is the only technical 1964 ford, the cab is a 1966.

I have a 1962 f100 4x4 that needs brake work so I like the look of this kit, a little of topic but its a little more a complete kit with disc and master cylinder.

Das Ford - if you have the 223 be careful of carb and master cylinder interference. The CPP Kit - which is on my 62 223 sticks out a long way...

What issues did you have with carb/air cleaner and the power booster/master cylinder if any with the 223?

Look at the pictures in my album. I used a Clifford manifold and the air cleaner hit the master cylinder. That was solved by putting an extension on the carb....

Thanks for the heads up! I was going to modify stock air cleaner to fit a K&N air filter. I'll wait to get CPP booster/master cylinder mounted before any mods on air cleaner.

Your going to have a sweet ride when your done! Nice pics BTW.
