My 3200bt has a sd slot and usb in front. I use the sd card for music it works well.
Also I use a sub $20 camera off ebay. Wide angle night vision, color, distance markers. I am on my second one because the first one was always on. I have a switch to install for this one. Both of them have worked very well.
I have the camera installed, I'm just looking at the AppRadio as an alternative to other OBDII gauges. I am underwhelmed so far... I'm not getting an Iphone or Ipad.
Ok Tugly question for you. Been reading this post, and what im thinking your saying is theres an app to run gauges from your obd to the screen. Is that right? Little hijack here, if thats right, what app are you talking about? And is there a obd plug that needs to be had to make it work?
Asking because I have a android tablet thats mounted in my truck at almost all times, but rarely in use.
Yes... OBDII gauges on the "massive" 7" screen on a double-din head unit, but it needs to be hooked through something like an I-something-or-other or an Android (DashCommand APP). OBDII adaptor to the smart phone or tablet, then link to AppRadio.
I played around for an hour or so yesterday trying to get the torque Pro readout on my phone to display on the Pioneer head unit. I failed.
The head unit will only process data it recognises via bluetooth. For example audio files. The head unit did sense the OBDII bluetooth transmitter but could not pair with it.
I was incorrect in my earlier post when I said Torque Pro could not data log.

So I get a blue tooth OBDII reader, plug it in, sync my tablet with it, find a good app for this, the tablet should be able to read the OBDII?
I've got all the newest electronic play toys, so I'm pretty up to date on this, but this one has got me a little bit. The tablet I use does not have internet connection, and mainly is used for music to my head unit. The only time it has internet is if I tether it to my phone. Do these apps take a data connection, or once installed I wont need it?

You could by Torque Pro and install on your Android tablet. You then by B.T. OBDII interface and can then have gauges and diagnostic capability with you when you travel. Total cost $50 to $100 depending on what quality B.T. device you by. Go to the Torque web site for their B.T. recommendations. The programming language our trucks use is not compatible with all B.T. adapters so you must do a little research before you buy. The linking to App radio part is the problem. Apple users would more then likely be able to do it but Android users are currently out of luck. Maybe the really high end Pioneer App radio has more capability?
My P4500BT box has an Android symbol on it, and the sales weasel said it would work great with my smart phone. It does run several Apps but will not run all of these listed. The P4500BT now stresses Iphone app compatibility. On another note, my phones operating system is listed on the Android compatibility info but Droid Bionic is not listed.
Rich, have you considered the dashdaq? I don't know much about it but it was popular with the 6.0l guys a while back. It appears to play mp3 files too.
"steam punked" is the art of taking ordinary everyday objects and making them look like Julies Vern would have pictured them. Think what would a cell phone look like if Capt Nemo carried it?
The sensors seem to be universal. The following unit works great in my wife's Dakota.
