front bumper swap
Does anyone know if an 04 super duty f250 front bumper will fit on an 06 f250? I want to get rid of the painted piece under the grill? If the 04 fits I can eliminate that painted filler

Dont see why not, people change from the older bumper to the newer one all the time. Just keep in mind if u change the bumper you will also need to change or cut down your Grille to fit. The 06+ grille is taller than the 99-04 Grille.

Cutting down the grill may not work as you have the header panel behind the grill where the grill clips into it at the bottom. So to do it rite,you may need a 99 to 04 header panel as well and you will have to trim behind the headlights so they will mount into the older header panel.You may also need a 99 thru 04 grill.I have seen some on here that have painted bumpers, cut out the section below the grill and modify it there which would work.King-bRanch probably hit it on the head with the A/M bumper but they are not cheap!!

100% yes the 99-04 bumper will fit a 05-07 truck with 05-07 header panel
I just recently upgraded my 2002 X with a 2006 Grill and 2006 header panel. I then bolted my 2002 bumper back on. I had to cut the 2006 grill down...but it all fit. tight clearance though

here is a close-up showing how much you have to cut down the 05-07 grills. There is basically only 1/2" of the bottom edge left after cutting
I still have to dress all the edges. Was in a hurry to get it all buttoned up and see the final result
