Hey guys,
I picked up a bed from a 95 lightning that didn't have the cruise control fix done. Sucks for the truck but bed is rust free, being I live in Michigan and salt destroys these things I had a idea.
The rear splash gaurds on these things are pitiful at best I had a extra set of front inners but way too diffrent to make work and do well. I have had several ideas but my body guy was telling me when he got his new f150 he bought new full cover splash gaurds that cover everything I took a look at them, anyone ever seen them or know if they are close enough to make work at $80ea I don't want to buy them and find out I have to mangle them and they are useless. Anyone else come up with a good idea for them?
The splash guards are JOKE, even the new F150 ones.
If you want to hold off the rust, drill out the 30 or so spot welds holding the inner wheel well arch support in and CLEAN/PAINT the back of the bed side.
then make drain holes in the inner arch support and GLUE it back in
