Ahh...dang CAT labels all look the same. After looking closer I don't see the EC-1 statement on that bottle. Thanks for the catch mhoefer! I'm not at home to check the label and part # but the one I used was clearly marked as EC-1 rated. Sorry OP.
hey if it helps any I found that my local napa store carried 3 different choices of coolants that matched what we r looking for.the one I chose was made by peak and states on the label that it meets cat ec-1 req. u do have to watch because they also carried diluted ones .this full strength was called final global charge and was phosphate, nitrite, silicate and borate free.Price here in jersey was 27.00 per gal.a little pricey but should be really good for our oil coolers.hope this was helpful good luck I'm heading outside to do mine in right now.
that's exactly what I got.where did u find that in stock just so others who see this post can see where its available.i found it at napa but being a peak product i'm sure others carry it
I got it at Cumberland Truck Equipment in Nottingham Pa. They also have stores in Carlisle and York and throughout Pennsylvania. It's $22.95 a gal. and I got 4 at 91.80 plus tax.
My local Napa store did not have anything Cat EC-1 rated. I also tried another truck parts store, and all they had was 50/50 mix Zerex ELC. I even tried an International dealer, he said he could get the Fleetgaurd but did not have it in stock.
Let me try again.. Yes that's the type you want. EC-1 rated, silicate fee, concentrated coolant. Again sorry for the mix up earlier. Good luck with the flush, it can be time consuming.
I couldn't find any OAT (EC-1) coolant at my local Napa stores -- they probably could have ordered it but I was out of time. Some stores carry the Zerex EC-1 concentrate and it is less expensive for some reason like in the $8 to $10 per gallon.
I went with the Peak Final Charge concentrate I got at O'Reilly's (was $26/gal) plus Distilled water. The Final Charge seems to be widely available and the booster that allows the coolant to go 600k/6yrs is not expensive either...

No problem Rusty, thanks for being here. I owe you and many others on this board a couple .
One other question, when you put in the Fumoto valve, what did you use for a washer? I read to use a rubber O ring, but I was also thinking copper washer. I bought the F108N and it comes with gasket.
The hole in the block is 1/2 chamfered for the o-ring and the factory plug is clearanced for the other half of the needed space. The area around the hole in the block is machined also so I think the o-ring from the removed plug or the gasket that comes with the valve. Either should work just fine. I wouldn't worry about chasing down anything special.
