Vapor locking issue

So I bought a 1980 Ford Ranger Lariat F250 4x4 with a rebuilt engine/tranny that have 18,000 miles on them. Put a new mechanical fuel pump in it two days ago and it did fine until today...it vapor locked on me twice. So now I'm looking at putting in an electric fuel pump...does anyone know what type I would need as far as rollervane or solonoid, etc?

Thanks in advance!

I would buy a pump 14 psi from White Performance & Machine on Ebay. Mount it with an adjustable pressure regulator inside the frame. I have run their pumps with very good results, & they are the best price I found. There no name but the one I bought looked exactly like a Holley. They are great to deal with fast shipping, great customer support, Great prices & products. My buddy Drag Races & buys a bunch from them with no issues in three years. They have a 140 GPH with regulator & gauge for $55 + $12 shipping.
