Lightning2fast, I agree, I have a 95 with 5.0 mass air, k&n, roller pedestals, electric fan, 2 into 1 replacement cat, with 3" straight pipe after the cat with no muffler. I have a lot of work done to the exterior of the engine. I have not yet gotten into the engine I can run very nicely at 85 on the interstate but at 65 it isn't in the power band yet, but it will pull until the valves float. I get better milage at 85 than i do at 65. now I am kinda trying to lower and broaden the torque curve without sacraficing the high RPM. I just ordered GT40p heads and I am ging to put a 3" muffler on it. now I am working on finding a cam that will suit my needs.
just to let you know you need special headers for the "p heads. they have a slightly raised exhaust runner. motorsport sells the headers but they are for a mustang. not sure if theyll fit the truck.
Found a company that makes the "P" header for the 86-95 F-series. It's Central Coast Mustang [http://www.centralcoastmustang.com] They are $219. Hope this helps someone, I know I was relieved to find them. I have found a good deal on these heads and now I can go ahead and get them without worrying if they're going to fit.
