What axles do I have?
Hey Rottn,
You are an X guy so you may know something I don't but isn't that an 02 or newer X. I know the SD's changed headlights in 02 but not 100% on the x's. Also I'm not too sure on the wheels but I've only noticed them on newer ones like 03's
x-bus,
I posted this in the other place this thread is but are you sure that's an '01. Is that an actual pic of your truck?
Also I would check the slip joint on the rear driveline. Put some grease on them and it'll fix that clunk. It's been documented all over these boards.

rrmike,
Your right about the slip joint.
I also thought they didn't have the good headlights until 2002. I know My 2001 limited did not have them.... but your eyes must be better than mine I can't tell from the picture.![Confused](images/smilies/confused0082.gif)
The wheels look to me to be what was on my limited when new... but they were on there for such a short period of time I'm not sure. (JOEBOOST would know I sold them to him!) I'm on my fourth set of wheels and tires now.
1. Stock LT265/74RX16D on stock aluminum wheels
2. 35/12.50R/16 Super Swamper SSR's on 16x10 Centerline Hellcats.
3. 36/14.50R/16 PJ's on 16x10 Weld Stone Crushers
4. 39/18 Mickey's on Weld 16.5x14 Mountain Crushers

I'll check the slip joint on the rear driveline. Thanks!

Oh yeah, the headlights and corners I'm sure about. The wheels I'm not positive but I've just never noticed them on an older one.
Just pull the driveline down and pull that boot off and slide the splines out and cover them in grease and slide them back in. Then you'll have to reattach the boot. Perhaps with zip ties or hose clamps or whatever. Then bolt the front or rear of the driveshaft (whichever you disconnected) back on.
Clunk gone
