needed rated engine stand rating

Is a 1250lb rated stand good to hold engine? Thanks

Should be. I think mine is rated for 2000 lbs. though. Maybe go with that to be safe.

I always go double what the engine weight is

if it is an american made stand from the 70's, it will work fine because they rated them at half the holding weight back then.
if it is chinese made, you need minimum 2000 lb stand, because they rate the chinese stands at twice what they can actually hold.
