2008 5.4L whining
I've taken the accessory drive belt off to eliminate the accessories, idlers, and tensioner. I've used my stethoscope and found the noise. It's a very loud whine coming from under the front of the driver's side valve cover. The noise gets much louder with increasing RPM. Sound started roughly 1,000 miles ago and is getting louder by the mile. What could be the root cause? Motor has 62,000 and just ran out of warranty last month.

Maybe nobody has had this problem before and could not give any advice to ya.
