I have a 1997 F-250 Powerstroke in semi-retirement that needs a replacement for the red factory air intake hose. I have replaced the two short hoses that attach to the heads/valve cover gaskets, it's not those that I am after. It is a red hose that sits on end 8.5 inches high; at one end the ID is 3.5 inches, at the other the ID is 3 inches, and there is around a 40 degree bend in it. This is the hose that feeds into the turbo and it is ripped directly under the channel for the hose clamp. Duct tape replaced regularly has gotten me by so far, less than 20 hours running time this year.
I would like to find a replacement without buying the whole intake system, or find a way to make a durable repair or fabricate one myself.
Yeeeeaaa it look like peace of mind..I've changed two of them on mine and joshs truck.i can't believe mine isn't done.i hate to replace it since the 38r comes with one
