Rusted support beam
Aloha,
I just got a 66 long bed out of Seattle and found some rust- understatement...
Looks like the support brace- what ever it is called is pretty rusted through. Someone sprayed foam inside...but a fair section of 6-8 inches is fairly rusted through. Is this dangerous? Where can I find a replacement bar? This is the support that runs under the cab. Thoughts?

Could you be a bit more specific on which cross member you are referring to? I wouldn't want one like that under my truck.

You're probably talking about the cab brace that runs side to side - the ends are notorious for rusting in the way you've described. I replaced mine this spring. I got replacements from Ricky Allen at Carolina Classics.
