Before you start removing..
Before you start removing emission controls and other stuff that you "think" is hurting power take a step back and realize that the state of engine tune is tied in with the emission control system mostly with the EGR system, the factory air/fuel mixture is adjusted to be lean, the addition of an Inert Gas via the EGR system is what helps keep the engine from pre-igniting the lean mixture, unless you are prepared to readjust/modify the existing fuel delivery system you are wise to leave it alone.. cheers..
