SO im thinking i have a bad or dieing ICP sensor. Truck starts runs great in the morning until I get off the hwy which has been 15-20 minutes of 75mph. Then it goes to missing every now and again and surging. It seems to do this more below 60mph or light throttle. If you hammer throttle it will clean up. This morning it died 3 times at stop lights. Jump back on hwy only surges 1 or 2 times. Pull back up to stop light dies again. Havent pulled codes yet but it wont even throw a CEL yet. No oil on the ICP connector. any guesses? and if it is the ICP any better place than the dealer? They want $200
Injector control pressure wont always pop a cell, do you have a gauge to read live data, my truck was doing same thing, and with cleaning every senser the last to go in was the ICP pig tail, Bam that cleared everything now I have a happy truck ( mite just keep it after all), there not hard to put in but I would recomend takeing the turbo pipe and zip tie it out of the way ,for more hand room the gloplug connections will have to come off as well ,skin the Tape like a rabbit very carefully ,I cliped about 1/4'' of wire past the connection just hook and go hook and go to make sure you have wires right only 3,crimp wire connections on pig tail first then slip heat wrap then harness wire then crimp so on after your all done, double check all connections and melt all heat wrap and tape up real good. they give you a little dio grease to put on the connections use alittle for glo connect.theres a grey plastic clip that holds these wires together behind that clip is where it was shorting out.let use know your ICP values before and after?
Just thought of something, are the pigtails the same as they were on the 7.3L? If so i have an old 10K mod for the 7.3L with a pigtail that I can cut and use my own connectors and shrink tubing I already have.
I had to buy at ford , and then I started looking around ,not very smart right Riff raff has OEM parts so I bought a EBP senser ,blue spring kit and some other goods,I'll never buy from ford again just trying to save you a few bucks ,you will have to do the online purchace its not bad took three days to get my stuff hell I have been dealing with this prob for 2 yrs whats 3 days I'm pretty sure this will resolve your issue,it gets worse with a lot of stalling low ICP pressure bucking throttleing up no throttle real head banger and not one mechanic new what it was , you could also try cleaning EGR valve with new o-rings and map connection to Intake this will help out on the boost also IAT2 senser it gets real sooted up.let me know how thing go do the tests tho it will surprise you get a scan gauge from auto zone best money spent so you can look at some eot coolent and alot of other values
I'm not sure on the connection I do know that ICP and I think EBP could be IPR will be the same ,in the tech folders theres connection tab you can look or hit Rusty up he will find ANYTHING (thanks Rusty) theres about 100 diff connections
Well Im thinking its the pigtail now. Messed with it yesterday at lunch checking to see if the ICP sensor had oil coming out of it or not. So by pulling the pigtail off and checking it, snapping it back on. It didnt change tune a single time on the way home last night or at any of the stop lights. I was shocked. And as expected no codes. So going to wire in the new pigtail first and go from there.

thanks for the help
No problem, Glad I can help ,just remember to slice the tape slowly so you dont cut any wires, one more thing to remember the little grey vaccume line to the heat control valve will get knocked out ,dont forget to pluger back in
