My 2000 EB has been shaking pretty bad at high speeds lately. I know it needs some good tires (I just replaced two) but I'm starting to wonder if it is more than the tires. I took it to Firestone and they checked it out and said it was the wear on the tires. Earlier this year, it was shaking at slow speeds and it happened to be a bad tire (I found out after I had a blowout lol) after replacing that tire, the shaking stopped at slow speeds but still occurs after 55 mph. I trust the guys at Firestone telling me it's just my tires, but I still wanted to ask around.
I also noted its not too bad in the morning on my way to work (At 4:30) but once I leave in the afternoon (Around 2) I immediately notice the vibration.
I've had this problem b4 An it was the tire when it would heat up it would separate causing an egg in the tire next time it starts shaking run ur hand over the tires to feel for a egg it could happen with new tires also
Yeah, I think so too. The fact that in the morning time, since the road is a little cooler, there is a big difference in vibration than in the afternoon when the road is burning.
I'll get some new tires today and see how it rides. Thanks, Kevin!
