disassembling a bed?
disassembling a bed?
i have two 69 longbeds
one of them has a badly rusted floor, dented wheel wells, and the rail that runs along the cab is bent.
the other has a solid floor, and good wheel wells, but bad damage to the upper passenger side panel.
i would like to use both beds to make one good bed.
how hard is it to disassemble these old truck beds?

adequacy of tools, and facilities- don't have any air tools, but i do have electric cutting tools, drill, and just bought 3 spot weld cutters. both beds are still attached to the trucks. one is in my air conditioned 2 car garage
the other is in my very hot backyard
one good thing i have going for me is Time. i have the next few weeks off work.
is there any certain order to disassemble the bed? if i wanted to move just the floor and wheel wells from one to the other, could i just cut them out and have them welded into the other bed?
