We were using the snap on scan tool "Solus" or something like that and communicating with 2 ford machanic. We had to icp pressure so we changed the Icp. Then we were seeing like 10k on the scanner so we were told ipr. The. When everything else checked out on the scanner the machanic told us j tube if oil pump. I appreciate all help and feed back but were we're not just throwing expensive parts at it. I thought we were working logical steps with conditions and scan tool feedback.

Also now getting 2 codes p2289 and p603. Going to try to drive home Tommorow and then I can get to dealer or my shop were time us not a issue.. P

Make it home!!! 300 Miles and the truck ran like a champ. Lots of power and no issues. Pulled in drive and shut down. Went to restart and would just crank.

I have pulled my SCT tuner from my 7.3 and got my laptop. I can now monitor the readings.

Let the truck cool down and she will fire right up. Monitored the FICM and ICP and FICM show 48.0 at all points. ICP duty is .32 and ICP desired is 6.0.

From M-chan68 he said to:
"Monitor the usual relevant data pertaining this engine (SYNC, FICM_SYNC, IPR %, RPM, FICM_M, FUEL_PW, ICP volts, ICP psi and ICP desired) WHEN IT FAILS TO START.

When she warms up and I crank and she does not start I am seeing.

ICP desired 9.0
ICP duty .48
Injection control Pressure 27.13
RPM 323
Fuel Level Sensor .70

What else should I monitor that the SCT can show?

Also as always after cranking for long time with no start if I just let go of the key and wait a 20-30 seconds it then starts right up on the next turn of the key.

That my friend sounds like a HPO leak. What is your IPR% while cranking when it will not start? Im guessing like 84%.

My SCT tuner on the laptop does not show me that. I am online now looking for a IDS scanner. Anyone have any recommandations on modal and brand?

AE is mentioned here a lot. (Auto Engenuity). Riff-Raff Diesel is mentioned as having a good price. Requires the base package and the additional cost "Ford bundle". I'm thinking of buying myself but I'm not having any issues with the truck so I keep putting it off.
