Of taking the plunge and sell our 2001 f250 7.3 to get a f-150. We dont need that big of a truck anymore (no one likes to drive it) hard to park blah blah blah so thought we would try a f150. Figure we will have to stay with a 2007 crewcab 4x4 we want a quality vehicle but dont want another car payment. Any suggestions or comments on what to watch for? good or bad qualities? thanks,
shawn

My first comment is, keep the F250 7.3! But, I understand, everybody needs and wants are different and situations change. Too bad you don't live closer, finally found a decent 7.3 Excursion for the wife and if everything works out, the F150 will be going bye-bye. Anyhow, all I can say is don't even bother with a 4.6, it's pointless IMHO. Had a '98 and an '04 both with 4.6's and they couldn't get out of their own way. Pretty satisfied with the 5.4. Switching from my truck to the wife's it feels like I'm driving a sports car in ride, steering, handling, and taking off from a stop.
A '07-'08 F-150 crewcab 4X4 is still a long truck, don't see how it's gonna be much easier to drive or park than a '01 F-250 7.3 except it won't stink like the 7.3.
I could see maybe a super cab or std cab with 6.5 bed maybe easier.
Geez, stink never even thought of it I guess I dont inhale. Thanks for the info. My Dad used to say a fox never smells his own den. Or something like that.
