FICM numbers
I have and Edge CTS for two years now and the ficm voltage has always stayed between 47.5 and48.5. Over the last two weeks it is occasionally dropping as low as 46. Thebattery reads between 13.0 and 13.3. No codes. Is this an indication my ficm isstarting to go south? Thanks<o

I have read about the dc power alternators on here and they seem like the way to go the cheapest one is 185 amp and is 300 the 270 amp is more than double that. What is the amp rating of the stock one. I replaced it only two years and 15k miles ago. Seems it should last longer than that. I am not running and extra electrical devices or lights just stock.

There are a lot of options for a higher amp alternator. Basically anything is better than the stock 110 amp unit.
I personally retrofitted a 3G alternator.
My choice for an aftermarket unit would be a Tenney or Mechman unit.
