gear change

I recently replaced my gears in my 96 E-150 from 3.55's to 4.10's. I tow and love the gears. My question is where can i get a speedo gear for the 4.10's

The 93 - 95 Lightnings came with 4.10 gears from the factory and E4OD transmissions. Maybe one of these would work depending on your tire diameter.

Are you sure you do not have a VSS in the rear diff? If that is the case, there is an excellent article right here in the tech section that tells you how to recalibrate your speedo.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-Jul-02 AT 01:36 PM (EST)]If your truck has a VSS in the diff housing (which it does if it's a 96), you do not need to do a thing. The VSS measures the output speed of the differential (i.e. axle speed) and therefore the PSOM (programmable speedometer/odometer module)does not require recalibration for changes in R&P ratio. It does require recalibration for changes in tire size.
