gear ratios

gear ratios
If i put 4.10 gears in my rear dana 60 axle, what would i do for the front 44 pumpkin? do they make 4.10's for that?

I haven't popped the back plate off the pumpkin to count the teeth, but everything i've heard about the older 150's is that theyre 3.55

if they are 3:55s you will need to search for "thick" 4:10 gears or get a >3:73 carrier to fit your new 4:10s. and do plenty of research if your doing it yourself

If it's a 94 F150, then you probably have a Ford 8.8" rear. Check out this page on axle identification...

hey thanks for that link, i've been looking for that all day... so i guess i have the dana 44-IF, which said it has an 8 1/2" ring gear, sorry i'm not good with gear measurements but does that mean 8.8? and what gears would i look for for it to match the 4:10's in the back then?

Hey, i was lookin at some sites and i was wondering if 4.10's in the rear and 4.09's in the front 44 would be alright or would that mess anything up?

It's pretty common to have a small difference like that ft/rear. It wont hurt anything.

Nope... wont hurt anything. Check out broncograveyard.com. Thats where i got all my stuff for my regear.
