where was the crack? i had that happen to a 4.6L mustang. the hose that goes up to the heater core cracked.

Dorman intake is ok, but if I had the cash I would have installed a Motorcraft intake.

the repair went well. I dint replace the pipe under the manifold. I used a dorman intake. Replaced plugs and auto lite cops. Initially I thought I had a air leak and went over replacing some hoses. But it turned out to be the cop want on the #8 cylinder. Now it runs great.

Thanks for all the help in getting thru this now on to the 4wd motor, passenger cv axle and maybe I can fix the rear heat some day Hahahaha

Disassemble took about 2hrs with air tools, but assembly took more than 4 hours over 2 day period. Slow and steady
