Figured I'd spend some time on the truck yesterday. Popped off my mirror caps, grill and my side emblems. Cleaned all the parts with nail polish remover ( all I could find at the time) and sprayed all the parts. Stuff is supposed to hold up good, but I have my doubts....
Mind sharing how the side emblems (by the hood) and the engine emblems (on the front doors) are attached and what it took to remove them? I too think all the chrome actually distracts from an otherwise very sharp truck.
I've been looking at either the Plastidip Smoke or Anthracite. Really curious to know how well it holds up.

The emblems on the side are just clips, if you open the hood you can see them from the inside, I pressed from the inside and pulled on the outside. No idea on the engine emblem, never took mine off.
2nd, noticed on Plastidips web site that they make a gloss top coat specifically for their products. (a primer too)
interesting, I picked my cans up at the auto store, never had a selection. That top coat would be a good idea I think, might make it last a little longer. Now that it has dried and hardened i could see it lasting a fair amount of time. I think I'm going to clear the ford emblem, I don't ever want to do that again. Lol
