I recently purchased a 2011 F-350 with factory nav/dvd which would play when driving. I had to take it in to get the radiator replaced at my local dealer and now it no longer plays DVD's when the car is in drive. My thinking is the previous owner did something to allow this to work while driving. Any thoughts?
Sounds like they may have had a Lockpick installed. If you press and hold the phone button on your steering wheel, see if a menu pops up on your screen (it'll be something like View Rear Camera, Enable Nav Input, etc with a Yes/No button). If it does, tap the phone button again until you get to the setup screen where you can enable the DVD in Motion automatically.
There's other means of hacking it but this one's the easiest to implement as an aftermarket solution.

Glad that worked! By the way, you can turn on the rear view camera in any gear at any speed with the Lockpick, as well as enabling the nav input while in motion (otherwise you have to stop to enter an address). Check out their site, the product provides some nice features.
