a POS hit my truck in the middle of the night and now i have to replace the broken lens assembly. i grabbed one from the wrecker that was already removed so i never learned how it was done. when i started in on removing my broken one i got stuck on the bottom 2 fasteners ... i cant see any way to get at them without removing the grill, then unbolting the sheet metal piece that runs along between the grille/lens assembly and the bumper.
seems like a lot of unnecessary work just to get a lens off ... could ford really have designed something this poorly, or am i missing something ?
You go in from the engine bay. Remove the wiper fluid reservoir. Once it is out of the way there are two holes on the core support that allow access to the two nuts holding the bottom of the headlight bezel, turn signal and marker light in. The holes are right behind the turn signal. You will have to feel for them, but they are there.
thank you very much evan, p . you just kept me from wasting a bunch of time . the tutorial you linked to was awesome as well. thank you, thank you, thank you !
