what are the odds?..less then 60k miles or 5 years and i got no vacuum?..i did buy the first pump from napa and everything i bought..(dont shop there no more) has failed at least once..i have a total of 186k miles..1997 f250 psd 4x4
Replaced my factory pump at 155k miles with one from the parts store. 10k miles later and a month over the 1yr warranty period it started to come apart.
I should see what a Ford unit costs as the first one lasted rather well.
yeah i figured the chinese junk theory would probubly be the root of my lack of brakes and vent controls..not gonna even bother checking what the vacuum is..go get another p o chinese junk to replace it this aft..$140..hey you guys remeber if its a right or left hand thread for the pully?..seems i had the either the idler pully or vacuum pump pully had a left hand thread

Idler pulley doesn't come off....and the Vacuum pump is press on pulley.
If im told right a IDI and psd have same Vaccum pump(Uncle owns a PSD)besides the pulley. Well my Brother bought a VP from oreilys with lifetime warranty
you could swap to hydroboost brakes and ditch the vac pump for an electrical just to run your heater controls, but that requires hundreds of course.not a good reason to avoid getting bad vac pumps lol but if a brake upgrade was desired anyway, perhaps before spending the $ on another vac pump..........
