Gas Gauge issues

Hi all I have a 2004 F-150 and the gas gauge seems to be stuck on a half tank, sometimes it will go to full tank. How do I fix this.

Do a search, I remember reading an easy fix for this. Gas dry for 2 tanks or something simple. But you may need a new sending unit. The truck is almost 10 years old

did this happen a while back ? or at last fill? if at last fill was the truck shut off and the key off
I found when fueling up all needs to be off I now pull the key when fueling
or gauge will not go to full and stick somewhere in between for at least a day or two.

I posted on here about my gas gauge problem a couple of months ago. The fix was i took it to the dealer and it was the sending unit. It is an 08 with 32000 miles on it. Also had them fix the heater. It would get hot but when you go to turn the temp down it would still be hot. Turn it down a litlle more and it would go cold. It turned out to be the blend door actuator. It all works now.
